About toolkit
At the heart of this toolkit is one simple question: How do we move Key Stage 3 from the ‘wasted years’ to a time of curiosity, challenge and intellectual growth for every pupil? It helps senior leaders, curriculum teams, governors and trust partners identify strengths and surface assumptions, prioritise areas for improvement and agree practical next steps.
The questions and prompts will guide you through KS3 assessment and transition. You might want to begin with just one area, conversation or aspect of the toolkit. The aim is to build confidence and clarity over time rather than trying to change everything at once. Use this toolkit to plan change that will last.
