The Norman Conquest

This unit helps pupils develop key skills including source evaluation and exploration of chronological casual narrative. It highlights how history is based on interpretations rather than definitive answers and that there are multiple causes behind events. By the end of the unit, students are able to write a short essay on why William won the Battle of Hastings.
